John Okrzesik Biography
John Okrzesik (Bobble Spice) was born in Chicago on October 10, 1965. He grew up in the Brighton Park area of Chicago. John started bangin' on the drums at about age 5. He started learning trumpet at about age 10, and started messing around with the bass guitar at about age 18.
John also played with the Windy City Brass, Gerry Tarka's Midwest Sounds and filled in with numerous Chicago-based bands. He has arranged and written many songs throughout his musical career including: After hours at the Omen; and Medieval Polka. He has also arranged many others with all the bands he has played with.
With FreezeDried, John plays trumpet, bass guitar, tambourine. He also sings many lead and backup vocals.
John lives in Woodridge, Illinois with his wife, Jennifer and their four children. John enjoys music; playing with the kids; working on home projects; home electronics; and computers. He also likes tampering with his recording studio (Chrome Pierogi Recordings, “When your music needs a little CPR”).
