John Krawisz Biography
John "Johnny" Krawisz (Casino Spice) was born on September 5, 1964.
From a young age John became interested in music through his family. His polka
influences came from Eddie Blazonczyk Sr.; Jimmy Weber; Lenny Gomulka; Rickie
Tokarz and John Furmaniak. Other popular musical artists that have inspired
John are: Elton John, Reba McEntire, Elvis Presley, Celine Dion and Maynard
Ferganson.
John has played in many polka bands including: Jimmy Miesala's Music Explosion;
CMA (Chicago's Milwaukee Avenue); Marion Lush and White Eagles; and Downtown
Sound. He has also filled in with many other bands including: Eddie Blazoncyk
and the Versatones; John Gora and Gorale; Polka Country; Scrubby and the Dynatones;
Toledo Polkamotion; Stas Bulanda and Dyno-Chicago; Music Company; and One More
Tyme. John would welcome the opportunity to play with Polka Family and The Brass
Connection someday. John has composed several songs over his musical career,
including: Oh Baby; Dream of Her Tonight.
John brings his musical talent on: Accordion; Trumpet; Concertina; Keyboards;
Saxophone; and Clarinet. John also sings some lead and backup vocals.
John is currently lives in Plainfield, Illinois with his wife Christy. John has two girls from his first marriage and two girls from his second marriage. He is the owner of a Pallet Company in Plainfield, Illinois.
Other than playing music, John enjoys: hanging out with friends and family; gambling; golfing; going out to dinner and playing ice hockey.
