Welcome to the FreezeDried website!  FreezeDried (Chicago) brings push-style polkas to the polka and non- polka fan. We are known throughout the field to be on the cutting edge of polka music. Our efforts have inspired other traditional polka bands to be more creative in material, musical arrangements and showmanship. Though we play many standard polkas, we are known for our polka-style cover-tunes from a broad spectrum of musical acts. Song lists are available upon request. Below are some venues FreezeDried has played over the years: Taste of Chicago Milwaukee Summer Music Fest Minnesota State Fair Palos Hills, IL Park District (Friendship Fest) FitzGerald’s Night Club (Berwyn, IL) PBS Television Special (Music Styles in Chicago) Old Town School of Music – including a song on a CD compilation Various radio interviews and performances including: WGN (Steve Cochran); WLUP (Jonathan Brandmeier) and of course countless polka festivals in the USA and Canada © FreezeDried 2012 As quoted by Johnny  Krawisz on January 1, 2012: "Despite all the rumors [i know] it's kinda been going around that FreezeDried kinda going to be breaking up after this month in January.  We're going to be taking a little vacation, a little slight hiatus.  FreezeDried has had a good 15 year run and we'd like to thank everyone  for making that possible for us. We certainly enjoy and love this polka music just as much as all you of you do and WE HOPE TO BE AROUND  FOR A LONG TIME YET ... the Lord willing.  But this year, we are going to lay low. You might catch us a tinge here and there coming up  shortly. WE'LL STILL BE AROUND ... trust me."                      Freeze Drowie! Rumor False - FreezeDried Lives On
